Building AI Tutoring That Serves Learners

We believe technology should amplify great teaching, not replace it

Our Story

cortexios was founded in early 2024 by educators and technologists who saw a gap between the promise of AI in education and the reality in classrooms. Too often, adaptive learning tools were built by people who had never taught a class or sat with a struggling student. We wanted to change that.

Our founding team brought together twenty years of classroom experience across Singapore primary and secondary schools, combined with expertise in machine learning and educational research. We started by listening — to teachers frustrated with one-size-fits-all materials, to parents worried their children were falling behind, and to students who wanted help but felt embarrassed to ask.

What emerged was a clear vision: AI tutoring should feel like having a patient teaching assistant available whenever a student needs it. The technology should track progress, adjust to each learner's pace, and give teachers clear insights — all while respecting student privacy and supporting the human relationships that make education meaningful.

Today, we work with primary and secondary schools across Singapore, helping educators integrate adaptive AI tutoring into their existing programs. We measure our success not by technology metrics but by teacher satisfaction, student engagement, and the quiet moments when a child finally understands a concept they've been wrestling with.

Our Approach to Quality

Standards and principles that guide every implementation

Educator-Led Design

Every feature is reviewed by classroom teachers before deployment. We prioritize tools that save time and improve instruction rather than adding complexity.

Data Protection Standards

Full compliance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. Student information remains under school control with secure access protocols and regular audits.

Curriculum Alignment

Content mapping aligned with MOE frameworks and your school's specific learning objectives. We adapt to your curriculum, not the other way around.

Comprehensive Training

Teacher orientation sessions, parent information evenings, and student onboarding. Everyone understands how the system works and why it matters.

Transparent Analytics

Clear dashboards showing student progress, engagement patterns, and areas needing attention. Data presented in ways teachers can actually use.

Ongoing Partnership

We don't disappear after implementation. Regular check-ins, content updates, and responsive support ensure the system continues to serve your needs.

Our Values in Action

Students at the center. Every design decision starts with the question: does this help a child learn? We prioritize adaptive pacing, clear feedback, and encouraging interfaces that build confidence rather than anxiety.

Teacher autonomy. Educators know their students and their context. Our tools provide information and suggestions, but teachers make the decisions about instruction and intervention.

Privacy as a foundation. Student data belongs to students and their schools. We never sell information, share it for marketing, or use it beyond the educational purposes schools authorize.

Transparent technology. We explain how the AI works, what it can and cannot do, and where human judgment is essential. No black boxes, no magic claims.

Cultural humility. Singapore's education landscape includes diverse communities and learning traditions. We listen more than we prescribe and adapt to each school's values and practices.

Continuous learning. We gather feedback from teachers and students regularly, refining our approach based on what we learn. The system improves because the people using it help us understand what works.
